The Rules of American Football

The basic rules of American football are as follows:
Both sides of the competition: Each team consists of 11 players, including 4 defenders and 7 forwards. In the game, both sides alternate in playing offensive and defensive roles.
Venue and Objective: The competition venue is a rectangular shape with a length of 100 yards and a width of 53 yards. The goal of the attacking team is to push the ball as far as possible into the opponent's end zone in order to score. The task of the defending side is to prevent the opponent from scoring and fight for control.
Offensive method: The attacking side can advance by using the player to charge with the ball (Rushing) or pass the ball in the air (Passing).
Defensive strategy: The defending side adopts various means to prevent the attacking side from advancing, including frontal interception, interceptions, and attempting to regain possession of the ball from the attacking side.
Scoring method: After a successful attack, the ball can be pushed into the opponent's end zone to score. Different advance distances correspond to different types of scores: advancing 6 yards earns 6 points, advancing 9 yards earns 3 points, advancing 10 yards earns 2 points, and advancing further may result in additional scores depending on the specific situation.
Replacement and Suspension: Each team has multiple substitute players who can replace injured or underperforming players as needed. During the competition, there will be brief halftime breaks between each section, as well as a two minute break at the end of each section.
Special rule: If the attacking side fails to advance at least 10 yards within four attacks, they will face a "turn on downs", in which case the defending side will start counterattacking from the opponent's last attacking position. In addition, there are other special situations, such as picking up the ball after a player drops a ball (fuse) and a series of subsequent actions.
The above rules outline the basic gameplay and mechanisms of American football, but the actual game will be more complex and full of changes, because the interaction between players, tactical coordination, and control of the game rhythm are important factors determining victory or defeat.
